It’s okay to show emotions.
I find it such a shame that we live in a society where people think showing emotions is weak. There is something so beautiful in vulnerability, so show those emotions. ❤
In honor of world mental health day.
Your mental health is more important than all the other things we worry about as humans. Yes we need to make money, and yes we want good grades, things and more, but if you don’t take care of your mental health these things will disappear anyway.
I hear it all the time; I need to make money. Sure you do, but who is going to make money if you have a severe burn-out? Balance is the key. You can work, study, have a social life if you set healthy boundaries, and balance your life. You just need to figure out what works for you, and if you have trouble with that, find a life coach, friend or therapist to help you. ❤

- You deserve to take up space. You really do! You are on this earth for a reason even if it doesn’t feel that way all the time.
- You are not broken. We often think we are broken or something is wrong with us, but we are not broken. We are the way we are for a reason; it helped us survive in the past. Luckily we can change patterns and learn to heal.
- You can start fresh anytime. We can decide to change who we are and what we do at any time, we just have to want it bad enough.
- You are not your emotions. Emotions are fleeting, they come and go. If you feel sad a lot, it doesn’t mean you are a sad or negative person.
- Everyone has flaws. You are not the only person with ‘flaws’. Big change that what you see as a flaw someone else admires about you. Nobody is perfect, and that’s okay.
Forgiveness is a powerful thing
Most of the things I feel guilty for aren’t even my mistakes. I always have to tell myself,’ you were a kid, it’s not your fault,’ but even if something is your fault, you make things right, and you forgive yourself. Forgiveness is a powerful thing if you have trouble with this; try writing yourself a letter.
You are human, not a robot.
I hate it when ppl say ‘ be positive ‘ or ‘ feel happy.’ I’m human, I won’t feel positive all the time, and that’s okay. Feeling sad, angry, ashamed are human emotions too and should also be felt❤
Shaming is not okay.
Shaming someone in the hope they change their behavior is emotional abuse; it won’t have the effect you think it has if anything, it only feeds the inner critic.
Instead, try to encourage and motivate a positive behavioral change by educating someone, helping them find help, asking them what they need, for example. ❤
Anxiety feels like.
This is what anxiety can feel like for me, but anxiety can feel different for everyone. If you want to know more about anxiety and panic attacks you can read more here.
Things to say.
Things you can say to someone going through tough times. Remember that everyone is different, so if you’re not sure, ask, ‘what can I do?’ Remind them that they are not a burden and that you are there for them.
Break up with your inner critic.
It’s time to break up with your inner critic; It has put you down long enough. You are worthy; you can make mistakes; you are strong.
Nourish your mind with positive thoughts. It won’t happen overnight, but if you can make yourself feel bad, you can also make yourself feel good, believe in yourself. ❤

Are you always worried about what other people think of you? Time to let that go. You can be the most perfect, kind, and loving person, and there will still be someone that doesn’t like you; it probably doesn’t even have anything to do with you.
You have to live with yourself, YOU, and only YOU, so please learn to like yourself.
Your thoughts matter.
If you notice negative thoughts popping up in your mind, try to reframe them into something more positive/productive.
Anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, etc. can make us think all kinds of horrible things about ourselves, but you can try to combat these thoughts by setting a more positive one next to it. Instead of ‘Everyone hates me, try ‘not everyone will like me, but many do.’

I underestimate myself a lot. By reminding myself, I’m stronger than I think and I’m able to handle whatever life throws at me I manage to have faith in myself.
It’s okay to feel sorry for yourself.
You are human, don’t be so hard on yourself. I often see these ‘mindset’ quotes that say you shouldn’t feel sorry for yourself, but is that even reasonable? Sometimes life isn’t easy, and you experience setback after setback. I think it’s healthier to feel sorry for yourself once in a while than to get mad at yourself for how you’re feeling. Just reflect later and remind yourself that life has ups and downs, and you can get through anything!
Words to describe anxiety.
Something that helps me figure out what’s going on inside is naming the actual thing that I’m feeling.
Somedays naming it, anxiety doesn’t feel right, but ‘tense’ or ‘hesitant’ come much closer.
