‘Every breath I inhale calms me and every breath I exhale takes away tension’.
This affirmation works well if you have a lot of tension in your body. Repeat the affirmation while you slow down your breathing, and bring your breathing down to your belly.
This affirmation can help you feel more in control, like you are actively doing something to calm your anxious feelings.

‘Anxiety is a visitor passing through’
Anxiety is not permanent, it’s a temporary feeling. The more you resist it, the harder it’s going to hit you, instead try to accept the feeling. Anxiety is trying to tell you something; there might be a feeling bottled up like sadness, or maybe you’re experiencing a lot of stress. Try to figure out what’s causing the anxiety and focus on the cause, while letting the feeling be.
‘Whatever I do today is enough and so am I’
If you feel pressured to achieve your goals while not taking care of your body and mind you might develop anxiety due to stress. Lots of people feel like they have to be perfect and need to fit a certain image. It’s important to remember that your health comes first. This affirmation can help you remember that you are enough, even on days that you don’t perform as well as you want to.

Healing starts with acceptance. This affirmation is very powerful for improving your mental health. If you can accept that anxiety is just another emotion passing through it won’t feel as bad anymore. With acceptance you create room for yourself and your feelings.

This affirmation is great for every life challenge you’re facing. You are perfectly capable to handle yourself and whatever life throw at you, now you just have to believe it!

One of the hardest things, when you’re dealing with anxiety or mental illness, is being afraid that your life will always stay like this. You have the feeling that you’re not in control of your life and you want to stop suffering. Truth is though; you have the power to say ‘ no more ‘. It’s not a guarantee that you will recover anytime soon, but you can decide to ask for help and to start changing behavioral patterns. Recovery takes time, but you can do it , one step at a time.

Anxiety can feel very lonely, but remember there are millions of people that deal with anxiety daily. Reminding yourself that you’re not alone can help you feel less isolated and more open to asking for help and be open about what you’re going through. Talking about anxiety and mental illness can help create room for healing.

‘I can’t control everything and that’s okay’
We can’t always be in control, but trying to be in control can cause anxiety. It’s okay to realize that a situation isn’t always in your hands. You will be fine, no matter what. If you feel very controlling, this affirmation can help you ease anxiety in situations you’re not in control off.

I am affirmations are perfect to boost your self-esteem. You can change them to your own needs, want to feel more beautiful? ‘I am beautiful just the way I am’. Want to feel less of a burden ‘I am not a burden’ The key to these affirmations is to keep them real. You don’t have to believe in the affirmations 100% but if you believe something about yourself to be true for 20% you can slowly increase the feeling by repeating the same affirmations daily.
